Quick Overview
The OpenDNS Updater is a user-friendly Android application designed to facilitate dynamic IP updates for OpenDNS services.

Detailed Presentation
OpenDNS is a widely recognized DNS service utilized by many users, though not all are aware of the additional filtering products it offers to individuals. This free service can be particularly advantageous for filtering content in categories such as pornography, phishing, and malware.
The effectiveness of this service is contingent upon your external IP address, which prompts the question: why develop an Android application for a DNS service?
As previously mentioned, the service depends on your external IP address. Consequently, when switching access points or transitioning to mobile data, requests may go unfiltered.
While Updater applications are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, there has been a notable absence of such solutions for Android or iOS devices. For more details regarding compatible dynamic DNS clients, you can refer to the OpenDNS support page.

Additional Information
The included VPN service is essential solely for enforcing OpenDNS servers when activated. During its use, only DNS queries are intercepted and resolved through OpenDNS, allowing your overall internet traffic to flow normally without specific routing.
This application is an open-source project. For further details regarding the app and access to its source code, please visit android.guillaumevillena.fr.
